Press Release and Survey Request: Emerging Markets Private Equity Funds Raise $59 Billion in 2007

Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) released this statement indicating that interest in emerging markets continued in 2007, with 204 funds raising over $59 billion in fresh capital a 78% increase over the US$33 billion raised in 2006.
EMPEA ANNUAL SURVEY REQUEST
The Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) is also conducting its Annual Survey of Limited Partner attitudes toward private equity investments in emerging markets.
EMPEA’s goal with this survey is to improve the quality and flow of information available about LP views on emerging markets PE. EMPEA conducts this survey on an annual basis to allow for measurement of change in attitudes over time.
