Hawaii fund plans private equity review

Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System, Honolulu, will issue an RFI on global private equity in the second half of the year, said CIO Rod June.
The $8.68 billion system’s staff already provided information on private equity to the board as part of a review of all asset classes. Data from the RFI will help the board gain a better understanding of how the asset class has changed in the 10 years since the fund last searched for a private quity manager, he said.
