Brazilian Funding Needs Provide Private Equity Opportunity
Brazil’s policies have forced it to raise rates to control inflation, as its attempts to keep its exchange rate controlled, which leads to implicit subsidies for exporters at the expense of the domestic markets. Ample opportunities in private equity abound, though, says JP Morgan’s chief investment officer, Michael Cembalest.
