Since 2001, Anders Strömblad has been in charge of alternative investments at the Second Swedish National Pension Fund - AP2. The alternative investment portfolio includes investments in private equity, real estate, timber- and farmland, credit strategies and China A-share investments. The alternative portfolio's NAV is today approximately 20% of the AP2 portfolio and is expected to growth further. In alternative investments Anders has designed the investment strategies and business plans and is responsible for implementations as well as the portfolios (together with his team). Since 2007, Anders has also been responsible for all public assets that are managed externally. These assets are mainly global equities, global credits, emerging markets equities and debt, and global tactical mandates. Anders is an advisory board member for number of fund investments. As responsible for the alternative portfolio he is also a board member in a couple of portfolio companies. Anders works as well on the nomination committee in a number of companies in the alternative portfolio. Anders is since many years active in the "global private capital industry." He speaks and attends panels on conferences globally. He is also active in the area of responsible investing and is a member of the PRI Advisory Board for Private Equity. Anders was the first non-North American board member of the ILPA. He is still active in ILPA as a member in their Industry Affairs Committee. Before he become head of alternative investments in AP2 he held senior management positions in the manufacturing industry. Anders started his career as an auditor of corporations at the Swedish Tax Authority. Anders Strömblad holds a BSc in Business & Administration.
