Tanya Carmichael is based in Toronto and oversees the Global Funds Team and Portfolio for Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. She has extensive experience in private equity fund investing and represents Ontario Teachers' on numerous limited partner advisory committees. Tanya is Chair of the ILPA board of directors. She also has served on the Private Equity Steering Committee of the Principles of Responsible Investment. Before joining Teachers' in 2006, she was an executive director in CIBC World Markets' private equity funds group and also worked in the legal and compliance group at CIBC. Tanya articled at Stikeman Elliott in Toronto. Tanya received a BA (Honours) from Queen's University and an LLB from Western University. Additionally, she has received her ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
