Deanna Winter is an Investment Officer for in the Alternative Investments Unit of CalSTRS. Among her responsibilities are those of reviewing, analyzing, and recommending private equity investments in buyout, venture capital, and equity expansion funds, managing a portfolio of over 30 limited partnerships in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to joining CalSTRS in 1999, Ms. Winter worked for the California State Treasurer, CalPERS, and spent the earlier part of her career in public accounting. Ms. Winter holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
