Marie-Alexandra has 10 years of experience in the financial sector in emerging markets. She is currently responsible for investments in private equity funds in North Africa at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Prior to that, she led a number of debt transactions, as well as direct equity investments in commercial banks in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia. Prior to joining the EBRD 5 years ago, she was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young Paris, where she was in charge of financial due diligences and advising French retail banks in external growth in emerging markets. She is also a non-executive Board member at a Belarusian bank and a member of the advisory board of four private equity funds in Central & Eastern Europe.
