Brian Gimotty is Managing Director Investments at the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust, established in 2010 to manage the medical benefits of over 700,000 retirees.  He joined in 2013 with responsibility for starting the private equity program and was promoted to Managing Director Private Markets in 2015 and leads coverage of private equity and direct lending.  Private markets include private equity, real estate, energy, infrastructure, timber, and royalties. Prior to the Trust, Brian was Senior Advisor to Paul Capital Partners secondary funds based in London. He began his career in private equity in 1992 co-founding and managing an investment and advisory firm based in Eastern Europe.  Brian also has experience in microfinance, relief and development in Africa and Central Asia.  Brian received his A.B. from Harvard University and his MBA from University of Michigan.
