Emerson Halstead is currently a Senior Associate focusing on power for the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Prior to joining TRS, Emerson spent six years with NRG Energy where we held several different roles, including Principal of the Sustainable Energy practice and Presidential Fellow to the Office of the CEO. Emerson has experience leading M&A transactions, asset disposition and capital allocation across the U.S. power and commodity markets. He earned a Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard, an MBA from the Kelly School of Business of Indiana University at Bloomington, and a BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
