From the organizer’s site:
An increasing number of Japanese investment firms are looking to the world’s private real estate markets for capital deployment. No more has this trend been demonstrated than by GPIF’s recent announcement of hiring Hideto Yamada as its first head of real estate. On 12 October, Japan’s largest and most active investment firms are gathering at the PERE Investor Forum: Tokyo to examine the Investor-Manager relationship.
Our world-class roster of speakers will be shedding light on the drivers for outbound capital flows from Japanese LPs – notably GPIF and those looking to increase offshore allocations. They will also explore the real estate landscape in Japan – including the challenges and opportunities surrounding domestic investment.
