The State of Market Institutionalization: LP Perspectives
Overview
Institutional allocators like pension funds, insurers, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds hold the largest share of impact investing capital, supplying over half of newly reported assets in 2025, according to the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN).
Yet even as these investors are increasingly recognizing impact investing’s capacity to deliver competitive financial returns alongside measurable impact, barriers remain to greater institutional participation.
In this webinar, leading LPs will discuss a new publication from ILPA, Tideline, and Campbell Lutyens: Impact Investing: The State of Market Institutionalization. The report offers a pragmatic framework for understanding what market-level conditions are required for LPs to deploy more capital. It finds that, while the impact investing market has made notable progress, especially in developing infrastructure, resources, and networks needed to foster institutional inclusion, significant work remains to strengthen data, deepen scale across themes, and build the liquidity mechanisms that these investors require.
Please join us for this important dialogue on institutional readiness.
