Join ILPA’s Legal Advisory Council (LAC) on Monday, December 16 2019 from 11:00-12:15 p.m. for our quarterly Legal Town Hall. Led by Stephen Sims, formerly of Skadden, this webcast will be comprised entirely of Q&A, with an “Ask Me Anything” format with a GP counsel. These questions can cover any issues you are facing, and we welcome the opportunity to share best practices and approaches amongst each other.

Todd Boudreau

Partner, Morrison & Foerster LLP

Todd advises on all aspects of transactional M&A for private equity and strategic companies, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions and divestitures. He also advises on institutional investments and fund formation including single investor funds, co-investments, and direct investments. Todd is an active member of the business community. He serves on various committees of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) and as host for the ILPA’s emerging managers conference and institutional/private equity summit. He is a member of the National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA), National Association of Public Pension Attorneys (NAPPA), and American Bar Association (ABA), and he serves on the ABA’s private equity subcommittee.

Adam Lippiett

Senior Legal Counsel, Siemens

Adam Lippiett is an in-house lawyer working at Siemens where he focuses on the legal aspects to private equity and venture capital fund investments. Adam previously worked for one of the top European law firms acting for GPs, before moving to Siemens in 2010 to work on the LP side.

Stephen Sims

formerly of Skadden

Stephen Sims is the former practice leader of Skadden’s European Investment Management Group. Mr. Sims has experience in investment management and funds formation, advising fund managers and investors on the structuring, establishment and operation of investment funds, especially private equity and real estate funds. His work involves fund formation and capital raising; fund-related M&A at manager/group level and ongoing ‘house’ work; and secondary transactions in fund interests.
