Thomas Hutson-Wiley

Thomas began his Wall Street career at Robertson Stephens in 1998, co-founding the firm’s Venture Services Group (VSG). Alongside the team at Robertson Stephens, Thomas spearheaded the use of In-Kind Distributions for VC Funds and was instrumental in driving its global expansion, notably launching the team’s London office in 2000. As a founding member of the team at Merrill, he focuses on monetization strategy, drives the team’s Enterprise integration initiatives, and is deeply passionate about equity market structure. Prior to Robertson, Thomas worked in software sales at Pathlore, Inc, and as a hazardous waste risk analyst at consultant Booz Allen & Hamilton. Thomas graduated with honors from the University of Virginia and brings a global perspective shaped by his upbringing in Beirut, Rome, London, and Washington, D.C. He divides his time between the team’s San Francisco and New York offices.
