Andrea’s private equity career spans over 20 years, starting in the Leveraged Buyout Group at Prudential Insurance where she led early efforts to benchmark Prudential’s $5 billion buyout portfolio, and domestic and European fund investment portfolios, among other responsibilities. Andrea was named one of the 100 most influential people in private equity over the past decade by Private Equity International magazine. Andrea earned her BA from Smith College and a MBA from Harvard Business School. LEVEL II MODULE 4 Mark is President and CEO of Semaphore, a leading global pro- fessional services provider of private equity funds-under-management. He has been a senior executive and en- trepreneur at international compa- nies such as Euromoney Institutional Investor and Fairfield Whitney,and was founder of Hall, Berwick and DiSalvo where he provided funding and man- agement advisory services to zero and first stage entities prior to founding Semaphore. He has extensive experi- ence in private equity, entrepreneurial management and emerging market strategy, particularly in underserved markets and economic development. Mark earned his degrees in Politi- cal Studies and Economics from the University of Massachusetts. LEVEL II MODULE 3 Jamie co-founded the insurance- focused tech start-up Ladder in 2015, after co-founding the private invest- ment firm The Aldenwood Group in 2009. Previously, Jamie was Partner and Investment Committee member at Jasper Ridge (formerly Oak Hill Investment Management) where he established the secondary private eq- uity program and helped manage the primary and direct private equity pro- gram. Prior to joining Jasper Ridge, Jamie was at Lazard Frères & Co. in both New York and San Francisco. He is a recognized leader in the private equity market and has spoken pub- licly at Harvard University, Stanford University, Institutional Limited Partner Association, Private Equity Internation- al, SuperInvestor and SuperReturn. Jamie earned his BA from Bowdoin College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
