Scott was awarded the 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Phoenix Prize, and was designated one of the 10 outstanding entrepreneurial professors in the United States in the BusinessWeek Guide to the Best Business Schools. He was the 2011 recipient of the Richard J. Daley Award, which is given annually to a single individual who has given direct and extraordinary support to the State of Illinois by participating in or being an advocate for the venture capital and private equity industry. Scott earned degrees in History and Literature, magna cum laude, from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. LEVEL I & LEVEL II MODULE 1 David’s practice primarily focuses on representing investors in reviewing and negotiating alternative investment documentation (including limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements and private placement memoranda) and in negotiating and preparing of side letters. David is also experienced in co-investments and secondary market transactions, advisory board matters, general partner removal transactions and fund dissolution matters. His experience in alternative investments includes hedge funds, fund of funds, real estate funds, buyout funds, venture capital funds, credit funds and infrastructure funds and he has experience dealing with Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act matters. David earned his BA degree, with honors, in Political Science from the University of Texas - El Paso. He earned his JD degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center. LEVEL I Per is Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1997. He teaches MBA and executive MBA courses in financial management and corporate restructuring, and co- teaches a PhD course in corporate finance. Per is also a Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and the Director of the Institute of Financial Research in Stockholm (SIFR). He has published numerous publications related to venture capital and entrepreneurial finance, costs of bankruptcy and financial distress, and corporate finance and governance. Per earned his MBA (civilekonom) from SSE and holds a PhD in Financial Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
