Del is Head of External Investments & Partnerships. She is responsible for overseeing the development of the team’s portfolio, strategy, and implementation plan. The portfolio is very broad, covering both private and public markets globally. She sits on the Investment Committee. Del joined the Guardians in 2011 as a Portfolio Manager where she actively managed relevant investments in the portfolio, oversaw the appointment and monitoring of external investment managers, and led the development of the Fund’s strategic partnerships programme.
Prior to joining the Guardians, Del was a Client Service Manager for Russell Investments, where she was responsible for all aspects of the institutional client relationships in New Zealand. Del also spent 5 years in London working as a Risk Manager for Pictet Asset Management, where she was involved in the establishment of a risk management function. She has worked in a variety of roles in the financial services industry over the past 25 years.
Del holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (First Class Honours) degree from the University of Waikato. She completed the Investment Management Programme at the London Business School in 2004. During 2018 Del participated in the Global Women Breakthrough Leaders programme. Del completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course in 2021, joined the Outward Bound Foundation Board in 2022 and appointed to the Outward Bound Trust Board in 2025.
