As the Senior Director, Diversity in Action at the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), Erika Lehmer is responsible for the strategic execution and program oversight of the Diversity in Action initiative. Her role extends to providing support for signatories in achieving their diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives. Erika’s background in private markets is marked by her expertise in operational due diligence, operations, and investor relations. Erika also brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the private markets industry.
Before joining ILPA, Erika dedicated 7 years to Aksia, where she held diverse roles across the firm, including portfolio advisory, operational due diligence, and serving as the firm’s diversity officer as well as a member of the responsible investing committee. In this capacity, Erika played a pivotal role in co-leading the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiative, shaping policies, and coordinating training and education efforts. She supported internal data collection, external manager analysis, and contributed to the development of a comprehensive approach to diversity.
Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Women’s Studies from Penn State University.
