Fernando Prieto

Fernando Prieto Abasolo is Head of Alternative Investments at Afore SURA in Mexico, where he oversees the firm’s alternatives program spanning private equity, real assets, and private debt on behalf of more than eight million Mexican pension savers. He participates actively in LPAC governance across multiple funds. He also coordinates the alternative investments subcommittee of Mexico’s national pension fund managers association, where he has been a consistent advocate for regulatory modernization and stronger GP governance standards. He holds a Master’s in International Management from NEOMA Business School, is a CFA charterholder, and holds the CFA Institute Sustainable Investing Certificate.
