- Finbarr O’Connor is the Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of TREO Asset Management, providing specialized and successor
asset management, advisory and fiduciary services to the alternative investment community. - Significant experience managing, and advising on, distressed and mature funds, including fund restructurings, across multiple jurisdictions.
- Has served as a general partner, replacement asset manager or responsible officer, in the management of a variety of hedge and PE funds
and investment structures, including serving as a board member in the management of portfolio companies across a wide range of
industries, globally. - Extensive restructuring, turnaround and troubled portco/investment experience in the US, Europe and Asia and has led and negotiated
complex restructurings, transactions, and recapitalizations on behalf of various stakeholders. - Has worked with investor groups advising on investments, M&A and distressed transactions across a wide range of industries, including
technology, pharma, financial services, real estate and hospitality, and energy. - Currently managing several renewable energy and gaming assets and has significant experience dealing with complex capital structures and
investment vehicles, including Total Return Swap and CMBS financing. - Prior to founding TREO, Mr. O’Connor was a Partner at BRG Corporate Finance, a partner and COO of an investment fund focused on
European private situations investments, and a Senior Managing Director and European restructuring practice leader at FTI Consulting based
in London.
