Hope Edwards-Newsome is Senior Director, Industry Affairs at ILPA. In this role, she supports ILPA’s strategic engagement with private markets stakeholders and drives initiatives focused on governance, regulatory alignment, and industry best practices. She works closely with LPs, GPs, service providers, and policymakers to advance transparency, alignment, and responsible innovation across the ecosystem to advance LP performance.
Hope brings more than twenty years of legal and compliance experience counseling private funds, institutional broker-dealers, and registered investment advisers on structuring, regulatory strategy, and fiduciary matters related to the formation and distribution of private funds. She is a frequent contributor to industry thought leadership through speaking engagements, panels, and published writings.
She previously held senior roles advising private markets firms and institutional investors, where she led fund formation, governance, and regulatory initiatives. Hope has served on the Board of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP) and held community leadership positions as Board Chair of the Heart of Florida United Way and Chair of the Central Florida African American Chamber of Commerce.
Hope holds a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D. She is a member of the Florida Bar.
