Sean Kulik

Sean A. Kulik, CPA, CA, CFA, CAIA

Sean Kulik is the Managing Director of Investments at Nunavut Trust, a $2.1 billion closed endowment fund based in Ottawa, Canada. He focuses on investment strategy, including asset allocation, manager selection, risk oversight, and performance monitoring. During his tenure, the fund has delivered strong long-term returns, grown its capital base and beneficiary distributions, and steadily expanded its exposure to private investments.

Sean currently serves on the Boards of both the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) and the Pension Investment Association of Canada (PIAC). At ILPA, he contributes as a member of the Education Advisory Committee. At PIAC, he participates on the Audit & Finance Committee, the Member Services Committee, the Alternatives Working Group, and chairs the Asset & Return Survey Working Group.

With over 15 years of institutional investment experience, Sean has also been an active volunteer in the CFA community for over a decade, including seven years with CFA Society Ottawa, where he served as President, and four years with CFA Societies Canada. He is a past board member of both organizations.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder, as well as a Chartered Accountant. His professional experience spans governance, fiduciary oversight, and private markets, with a focus on supporting the long-term interests of limited partners.
