Tara is currently managing investment counsel at the Pension Protection Fund, where she manages the legal resource for the investment team with a particular focus on the PPF’s growth portfolio where the PPF is an active institutional investor investing in a range of alternative asset classes (PE, infra, real estate and private credit) through a range of structures, increasingly co-investments, directs and funds-of-one.
She is experienced private funds lawyer (both on the GP side on funds formation, but more so in her recent in-house roles on the LP side acting for various institutional investors, on bespoke, direct, and investment as well as pooled strategies / strictures. She also has prior experience as a senior lawyer and as sole counsel and head of legal for corporate with VCs and PE portfolio companies.
Tara’s career began with Freshfields in their private equity team, and she subsequently worked in private practice with other London based US firms and other City firms before moving inhouse.
