About the Template Development

In 2024, ILPA launched the Quarterly Reporting Standards Initiative (QRSI), a collaborative, industry-wide effort, to develop the next evolution of quarterly reporting standards to serve the needs of our changing industry.

ILPA engaged LPs, GPs, and Service Providers via a Steering Committee to provide oversight for the initiative, dedicated Working Groups to dive deep into each Template, and a Satellite Group to provide additional feedback. By working collaboratively across the industry, ILPA sought to surface the complex issues and differing reporting practices to be considered in crafting solutions to standardization that would ensure the widest adoption possible around the globe and throughout the PE industry.

The updated ILPA Reporting Template was released in January 2025, alongside the new ILPA Performance Template.

ILPA built upon the successful QRSI outcomes by conducting a similar effort to refresh the ILPA Capital Call & Distribution Template that was released in September 2025 and the ILPA Portfolio Company Metrics Template that will be released in January 2027.
